Rhode Island Alert: Legalize Industrial Hemp, Support H6177

Rhode Island H6177 would legalize industrial hemp for production and commerce, effectively thwarting the federal prohibition on the same. It must pass through the House Health, Education and Welfare before it can receive a full vote in the state House.

1.     Call the House Health, Education and Welfare Committee Chair, Joseph M. McNamara. Strongly, but respectfully urge him to move this important bill forward to a vote in his committee. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email.

2.     Call the rest of the committee members. Again, be strong, but respectful. Urge each of them to take action to move the bill forward and vote YES on H6177.
